Premium Matcha Kawane is a refined Japanese matcha from the renowned tea region Kawane in Shizuoka — one of Japan's most important and highly-regarded cultivation areas. The region is known for its ideal growing conditions, pure mountain air, and exceptional quality.

The Tencha for this matcha is made from carefully selected cultivars such as Yabukita and Okumidori. After a three-week shading period, the leaves are harvested, lightly steamed, and dried, after which they are slowly ground into a fine powder. Because the leaves are not rolled, their natural components are optimally preserved.

This results in a full, smooth flavour with light herbaceous notes and a mild, non-bitter finish. The bright green colour and fine texture are clear characteristics of premium quality.
