Ceremonial Matcha
The Tencha for our Ceremonial Matcha comes from the sun-drenched south of Japan, from the Kagoshima region. This is the second most important cultivation area in the country and also a pioneer in organic tea culture. Thanks to the favourable climate, many more tea cultivars are used in this region than elsewhere in Japan.
The local tea masters have created a perfectly balanced blend of different cultivars for our matcha, including Saemidori and Asanoka. This results in a unique flavour composition. The rich, deep green powder already reveals the excellent quality, which then surprises you with elegant notes of dark chocolate, a very fine umami character, and a subtle sweetness.
